The Affton High School club Team Spirit is holding a special event to encourage students to wear their seatbelts. Club members will sit in a vehicle parked in front of the school for 24 hours, wearing their seatbelts the entire time. The "Bucklefest" will begin at 2:25 p.m. on Thursday and run until 2:25 p.m. on Friday.

All week leading up to the event, Team Spirit has been checking students for seatbelts as they arrive at school. Anyone not wearing a seabelt had the choice of donating $10, buying an "Arrive Alive" shirt or wearing a neon orange traffic vest all day at school.
