Bayless School District has announced the recipients of this year's district awards, including teachers of the year, staff of the year, Broncho Awards, Triple Crown Award and retirees. The following people will be recognized at Bayless School District Recognition Night on May 19.

Triple Crown Award Winner 2011: Vickie Keener

Broncho Awards:

Teachers of the Year 2011:

• Elementary – Lesley Sugg
• Intermediate – Kelly O’ Connor
• Junior High – Woody Babb
• High School – Jon Robards

Note: The district-wide awardee for teacher of the year will be announced at the recognition ceremony

District Staff Person of the Year 2011: Kathy Bromeier, Accounts Payable Specialist

2011 Retirees:

• Bettie Downs, director of communications & technology
• Patsy Hardy, 5th grade teacher
• Jane Keck, high school secretary
• Sharon Mueller, 3rd grade teacher
