My Grandson Lux Frain went with his Mom and Dad to vote today...We all pray that when he is old enough to vote that the world will be happier, more prosperous for all and free of war....We can all hope!

And today, millions of people will be heading to their nearest voting booth to cast their ballot.

I went to the polling place but the line was out the door and wrapped halfway around the building. Did not have that much time to kill so I will try again later.

I voted because my mother and father can't votre anymore. I voted because my dad and my father-in-law as well as a large portion of The Greatest Generation fought to insure my right to vote. I voted because I feel I have a moral obligation as a Roman Catholic to exercise my right to vote. I voted because it's the right thing to do on Election Day! God Bless America, God Bless O'Fallon and God Bless every voter who exercises their right to vote!

I voted because as a woman and a person of color there are so many who came before me that fought and risked their lives for the privilege and it should be respected.

I most certainly did vote. It took an hour and a half, but I did NOT mind.
I thought of all my ancestors who weren't allowed to vote, weren't allowed to have any say in the direction of our country. They sacrificed so much for my right to vote today.
I thought of women, who fought bitterly for rights which now, inconceivably, are threatened once more. "The good old days" weren't too good for everyone, were they...?
I voted because I want America to move forward and onward. I don't want to see the return of "the good old days."

I voted today, and I applaud both Gabrielle and Ashley for their comments. I agree with both. I am appalled that candidates want to drag women's rights issues back to the forefront again to please fanatical people. We know who they are...I only hope all women who vote today exercise their rights...in every way.

I voted YESTERDAY. I cannot stand in lines for an extended period, due to my knees. I went just before 1pm Monday and didn't wait at all. But, after I finished, which was after 1pm, there was a long line waiting to be checked in. I understand the early returns show Obama leading but I was told the republicans had not gotten off work yet.

I voted today, because I like to be able to have a say in the path our country is going even if my candidates don't win; but more importantly because if you don't vote you are being disrespectful of all the individuals who have served in the military (I served 22 years in the Army) from the Revolutionary War through current conflicts (wars), some of these individuals gave the ultimate for us to all have this right.
