News from Election Day

Bob Burns, Democratic candidate for the Missouri State Representatives seat in District 93, accidentally received the wrong ballot when he tried to vote this morning. “If I would lose a race over something like that, it would be devastating,” Burns said.

Polls around Affton were slammed with voters in the 6 a.m. hour, but by mid-morning, everything slowed down. Once rain started drizzling down around noon, voter turnout was only a trickle.

The Affton White-Rogers Community Center was so slammed with voters this morning that one man received the wrong ballot. The St. Louis County Board of Elections assigned another poll worker to the center to help with confusion, and things were undercontrol by mid-morning.
