Elks Club Announces Essay, Poster Contest Winners

Gotsch students focused on themes of drug awareness and Americanism.

The Affton Elks Club sponsored an essay and poster contest for the third, fourth and fifth grade Gotsch Intermediate School, according to a news release from the Affton School District. The following students were announced a winners:

  • Fifth-grade Drug Awareness essay contest winners were Max Herndon, first place, Kaitlyn Pluff, second place, and Hailey Arnold, third place.
  • Fourth-grade Americanism essay contest winners were Maureen Dolan, first place, Colin Phillips, second place, and Ileiana Gonzalez, third place.
  • Third-grade Drug Awareness poster contest winners were Selena Wolf, first place, Sophia Simmons, second place, and Conner Klein, third place.

Winning entries were awarded a VISA gift card worth $75 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
