Lindbergh Swimmers and Divers Take 10th in State

Austin Mayer also set a school record.

 

Congratulations to the Lindbergh High School varsity boys swim and dive team, which scored 10th place with 84 points at the state championships this month. Austin Mayer set a school record in the 200 IM event, with a 10th place finish of 1:58.81.

In the 200 Medley Relay, swimmers Jimmy White, Richard Le, Drew Wegman and Ethan Finlinson took 11th place with a time of 1:41.14; and the 200 Free Relay team took 11th place with a time of 1:30.39, an impressive performance by Drew Wegman, Jimmy White, Ethan Finlinson, and Christian Knuepfer. In the 400 Free Relay, Drew Wegman, Austin Mayer, Ethan Finlinson and Christian Knuepfer took 10th place with a time of 3:16.12.

Individual accomplishments included:

  • Jordan Mayer: 500 Free, 7th place
  • Drew Wegman: 100 Fly, 8th place
  • Christian Knuepfer: 200 Free, 13th place and 100 Free, 15th place
  • Austin Mayer: 200 IM, 10th place and 100 Fly, 11th place
  • Richard Le: 100 Breast, 13th place
