Local Elections: Final, Unofficial Results Are In

Affton Fire's Prop A and Bayless's Prop B both passed. Meanwhile there was a shakeup in Grantwood Village.

 

With all St. Louis County precincts reporting, final unofficial results are in for local Affton and Shrewsbury area races. Total voter turnout in St. Louis County was a mere 13.82.

Affton Fire Protection District: Prop A Passes

  • Yes: 2,433 — 61.75%
  • NO: 1,507 — 38.25%

Bayless School District: Prop B Passes

  • Yes: 948 — 58.02%
  • No: 686 — 41.98%

Shrewsbury Board of Aldermen: Kopff Keeps Ward 2 Seat

Ward 1:

  • Sam Scherer: 99 — 98.02%
  • Write-In: 2 — 1.98%

Ward 2:

  • Ed Kopff: 162 — 52.94%
  • John Bub: 144 — 47.06%

Ward 3:

  • Chris Gorman: 146 — 92.41%
  • Write-In: 12 — 7.59%

Grantwood Village Board of Trustees: Rust and Larson Unseat Forand and Williams

Green Park Board of Aldermen: Wilson Keeps Ward 2 Seat

Ward 1:

  • Carol Hamilton: 75 — 75.76%
  • Write-In: 24 — 24.24%

Ward 2:

  • Jackie Wilson: 79 — 83.16%
  • Mark Friederich: 16 — 16.84%

Ward 3:

  • Fred Baras: 24 — 96%
  • Write-In: 1 — 4%

Affton School Board: Zahn Wins Term Remainder

  • Jason Harman: 533 — 23.70%
  • Patricia Zahn: 1,701 — 75.63%

Lindbergh School Board: Schuster, Holloway Win Two Spots

Bayless School Board: Fox and Robinson Take Two Seats

  • Jeff Robinson (I): 672
  • Stephan Pope: 638
  • Mike Fox: 818

St. Louis County: Prop S Passes

The proposition needs 57.15% to pass:

  • Yes: 52,517 — 59.49%
  • No: 35,764 — 40.51%

St. Louis Community College: McGivney Unseats Burns By 23 Votes

Subdistrict 3:

  • Bob Burns: 6,164 — 49.61%
  •  Joan McGivney: 6,187 — 49.79%
  • Write-In: 74 — 0.6%
