An Oakville man faces a criminal charge after police said he had his girlfriend’s sister’s car towed without her knowledge.
St. Louis County Police said Richard Kladky, 28, had a 1996 Nissan Altima towed from Allen Transmission, 8900 Gravois Road in Affton, where it was awaiting repair. The car was towed sometime between March 1 and April 1 without the owner’s permission, police said. The owner is Kladky’s girlfriend’s sister.
Kladky, 28, of the 4100 block of Berview Lane in Oakville, was charged Thursday with stealing a car.
A witness told police he saw the car being towed at Kladky’s direction on the lot at 8900 Gravois.
Bail was set at $20,000.
