The Mehlville Fire Protection District has sold one of its two old firehouses.

Gateway House of Prayer purchased the old House No. 3 at 11625 Sappington Barracks Road for $200,000. The church is currently located at 4646 South Lindbergh. 

The new House 3 on Lindbergh Boulevard opened in April. It includes a training tower, three bays for trucks and gear, and cost $2.2 million.

Also for sale is the old House No. 4 at 13106 Tesson Ferry Road. Both houses were replaced by new facilities in 2012 and 2011 due to space constraints.

The new House 4 is just a short distance south of the old one at 13117 Tesson Ferry Road.
