After growing up in Sunset Hills and being a lifelong South County resident, Sandie Grassino has found herself a calling to be a storyteller. From teaching English, theater and creative writing at Northwest High School to being a member of the Sunset Hills Historical Society, Grassino's latest form of storytelling is in paper form. In an image taken by Rita Younger, mother of Rockwood Summit High School ballplayer Kyle Younger (mustache), the team is celebrating its state championship title game win this past spring. The photo has been nominated as one of a dozen celebratory photos from around the country by Church Hill Classics and could win Kyle a scholarship if it receives enough votes in an online contest.
