STLToday reported Wednesday that St. Louis County police are investigating a marking that changed the wording on the headstone of baby Tyler Dasher, whose murder shocked the Affton community.
The headstone reads "I wish you a beautiful peaceful lullaby to grace your eternal rest." The graffiti in black marker wrote the word "We" over where the sentence said "I."
The recent marking was discovered by Dasher's grandmother, and has since been removed.
One-year-old Dasher was found dead along River Des Peres Parkway after being reported missing by his mother Shelby Dasher, 20, of Affton. Police say the mother confessed to killing her son, and she has now been indicted held on charges of second degree muder and child abuse.
Both friends and strangers mourned Tyler Dasher's death, piling stuffed animals and other tributes under a tree near where he was found and holding a candlelight vigil.

I do as well..Stories like this always bring me to tears but this one made me break down and literally sob for hours..I think it was the sweet,beautiful baby boys smile that touched me so deep.I still cannot rap my head around how she could've done this to her precious son and even a year later I break down at the thought of what he must've went through and the way he was found.I pray this beautiful baby is resting peacfully, not suffering any longer and smiling down on those who loved him!
