Train Derails Near Tesson Ferry, Mackenzie Roads

The accident could take several hours to clean up.

A train derailment in South St. Louis County may tie up traffic at Reavis Road, between Tesson Ferry and McKenzie for hours, Fox 2 News reports.

St. Louis County Police say several rail cars had jumped the track and that it may take several hours to repair the track and put the rail cars back on track.

The train, the Burlington Northern Santa Fe, was headed northbound and derailed around 8:15 p.m. between a residential area and an industrial area, KMOV reported Monday.

Reavis Road is closed between McKenzie and Tesson Ferry Road for the next few hours.
