Ronnie's Theater Hosts Special Screening Benefiting Police Tonight
Join Fred Bird, police dogs, law enforcement officials and their families tonight and Heroes Behind the Badge, a documentary about our men and women in blue.
A one-night-only film screening tonight of Heroes Behind the Badge, a documentary about police men and women who put their lives on the line, will benefit local families of first responders killed in action.
Police officers, their families, South County residents and even Fred Bird are turning out for the double screening at Wehrenberg Ronnie's 20 Theater.
Heroes Behind the Badge, released in October 2012, tells the story of men and women in law enforcement who sacrifice their safety as part of their call to duty and promises to change the way viewers think about police officers. Watch the trailer in the video above.
Before the movie even starts, families can tour first responder vehicles on display from local precincts and meet police canines.
Bill Erfurth, the retired Miami-Dade Police Department Lieutenant who produced the documentary, will also attend the screenings and meet local police officers, according to the event's organizers, the St. Louis Police Wives Association.
