Two Hit-and-Runs, DWI Arrest in Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury police handled three driving-related incidents this month.
The Shrewsbury Police Department is investigating three traffic-related incidents this month: two accidents where the drivers fled the scene and an arrest for driving while intoxicated.
Police arrested a woman from south St. Louis County on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she crashed her vehicle into a parked vehicle in the 7800 block of Kenridge Lane at 2:10 a.m. August 18. The suspect’s breath sample was measured at .165, and the legal limit is .08. Police issued the woman citations to appear in municipal court.
In another incident, a vehicle crashed into a light pole on the median on Watson Road at MacKenzie Road at 11 p.m. on August 21. The vehicle left the scene, and no one witnessed the incident. The suspect driver is unknown.
A woman living in the 30 block of St. Charles Place reported that her 2012 Ford Escape sustained rear bumper damage on August 23. The car owner is unsure when or where the car was damaged.
