Visions for Vacancies: Mackenzie and Heege Roads

The shopping center in the southwest corner of Mackenzie and Heege roads has two vacancies. What do you think should go there?

Have you stopped by the shopping center in the southwest corner of Mackenzie and Heege roads lately?

Maybe you had a drink at Tsevis' Pub and Grill or grabbed dinner for the family at Little Ceaser's or China Garden. Maybe your hair or your financial portolio needed some help, so you stopped by Studio J Salon or Edward Jones Investments. Either way, the shopping center has some major attractions for Affton locals.

If you've been around lately, you may have noticed two new businesses: The Spine and Joint Center of Affton and T & T nails. Dr. Danielle Spath opened the Spine and Joint Center a few weeks ago and is planning a ribbon cutting on October 3. T&T Nails has a "Coming Soon" sign.

Since there are still two vacant store fronts at this shopping center, we here at Affton Patch thought this was the perfect time to ask: What business would you like to see open up in one of the empty spots?

The first empty spot sits between Tsevis' and T&T Nails. There's a work order on the door from March for a walk-in cooler for Mackenzie Convienience Store, but the "For Lease" sign is still on the door.

And at the northern-most corner next to China Garden is another open space. Spath said she's heard rumors of an exercise or fitness related group moving in, but no word yet about specific businesses.

So here's your chance to have your voice heard! What business would you like to see open a new location at Mackenzie and Heege roads? Tell us in the comments!

Would love to see a fitness center move into that space or some other business entity that would help promote health and wellness in the Affton community!
