Helping Fight Homeless is Easy and Fun with #GarbageGala 7/27

The Garbage Bag Gala is one day away. Are you going? Find out more about the event that will be the talk of St. Louis all year.

If you haven't heard the buzz surrounding the St. Louis Salvation Army's Garbage Bag Gala, here's the scoop.  Friday, July 27th, models will strut the latest designs made out of trash bags and duct tape at the Moonrise Hotel.

Here's the deal. There is a gigantic problem in the St. Louis area. This problem is homelessness. It's growing yearly at rapid rates. The St. Louis Salvation Army needs help funding programs that not only feed and provide shelter for homeless in the area, but also provide tools to turn their lives around. Instead of just talking about this problem, the Salvation Army is doing something about it. And they're asking us, you, me, your friends and family, to help.

You can attend the Garbage Bag Gala this Friday. Tickets are $45 now, $50 at the door. Ticket includes dinner, 2 drinks, a fashion show, live music by DJ Epic and Rob Cruse, and lots of fun!

I got involved because I believe in getting involved in the community and doing the right thing. Homelessness is NOT okay. It's not okay for children not to have a safe place to sleep and food to eat. It's not okay to ignore the problem. So I got involved. I'm one of the models for the event. My deisgner, Erin Kilfoy and I are super excited to showcase her creations.

Doing the right thing is easy. All you have to do is buy a ticket (or two) and show up for a fun night. You'll be helping the homeless in St. Louis just by eating, dancing, and showing support for the Garbage Bag Gala.  More info
