Video Greeting Cards: The Green Alternative to Showing You Care

There's a new way to send greeting cards.

Okay all you environmentally friendly aware St. Louis birds! I’ve got something for ya. I came across a green, super cute way of showing the love. Before you head to your local retail store to get a birthday card or any greeting card for that matter, stop and ask yourself a few questions.

  • Is this really good for the environment—encouraging the consumption of paper products when I could express the same feelings in a way that does not cut down our trees?
  • Is this really what I want to say? Maybe you could say it better in your own words.
  • There are multiples, which means that someone else could have gotten this person the same card. Do I really want that or do I want to be unique?

Here’s the scoop. There is a new website that lets us step out of that boring old box and send meaningful, environmentally friendly greeting cards. Better yet, it lets us send video greeting cards. Inwiter is a site that really lets greeting come to life because YOU create them. Whether it’s for a birthday, baby shower, wedding, or whatever it is you want to celebrate, you can send a greeting that is truly unique and oh so you.

Here’s how it works. You create an account. Pick the occasion. Add your info. Add your media (video and sound). Add your contact(s) and send. You can even share your greeting with your social networks.
