182 Raise $5,000 for Affton 7th Grader

The run/walk was organized to benefit the family of the Affton seventh grader.

Rogers Middle School seventh-grader Mitchell Herndon had 182 friends on Sunday.

The Affton 5 was held in Affton Sunday morning and 182 came to the event, raising more than $5,000 to benefit Herndon and St. Louis Children's Hospital, where he's being treated.

Herndon's health failed last year to the point where he couldn't even get up unassisted. His health is improving greatly with help from the St. Louis hospital.
