VIDEO: Affton Presbyterian Celebrates 70 Years With Ice Cream

On Tuesday they begin the process of planning for the next 70 years.

Affton Presbyterian celebrated its 70th birthday on Saturday with an ice cream social.

On Sunday there will be a celebration and a recommitment, followed by a chicken dinner, Rev. Kim Skilling said.

"We're going to continue through the year," she said. "Part of what we're doing is to be looking at what is the next step for us? We're celebrating what's happened in the past. What's God calling for us in the future? That's the most important thing."

She said they'll begin the process of looking at the future by partnering with a national program called New Beninnings, which begins on Tuesday.
