Okla. Cheesemaker Shawn Duffy will Appear at Kenrick's Saturday
The cheese maker works at Lovera's Italian Market, and specializes in Italian cheeses and sausages. The Lovera's crew has even won national awards.
Saturday, June 15, there will be an added bonus while shopping and Kenrick's Meats and Catering.
You'll be able to meet cheesemaker, Shawn Duffy, from Lovera's Market in Krebs, OK.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. DUffy will be sampling some of the market's cheeses, as well as doing demonstrations on how they make it.
The family market specializes in traditional Italian goods. They have an award-winning Caciocavera they make that is a Caciocavallo-style cheese.
Duffy joined the business, which has been around for more than 65 years, after marrying Lovera's daughter. A scientists at heart, he said once you learn the chemical compounds of cheese, there are so many different things you can do with it.
