Affton CenterStage Holding Auditions for "The Wizard of Oz"

The Affton CenterStage Theatre Company will be taking audiences on a classic journey this spring with their upcoming staging of "The Wizard of Oz"and is seeking community thespians who wish to bring the beloved musical to life.

Auditions will be today and Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Morgner Building, 803 LaFayette Avenue in Webster Groves with performances scheduled for June 1 and 2. Adults are needed for major roles with children ages 4-18 needed for major and minor roles.

"The Wizard of Oz" was originally released in theaters in 1939 and nominated for six Academy Awards, including best picture.

Affton CenterStage has been bringing theater productions to Affton residents since 1992.
