January Family Day: Arts and Cultures of Asia
Celebrate the Chinese New Year by exploring chess sets and arts of China and other Asian countries! Decorate your own dragon, a symbol of good luck in many Asian cultures. Then try your hand at origami, the Japanese art of paper folding.
Sessions begin at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m., and will last approximately one hour.
No chessplaying experience or knowledge necessary, and children of all ages are welcome! The hands-on activity is recommended for ages 5-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
