The Affton Early Childhood center has been a busy place since Winter Break! We opened up a new classroom and Deanna Roberts is the new teacher! Congratulations Deanna! We are welcoming two new TA's as well, Amy and Michael! We are so looking forward to having you in our building! The Spring semester at Affton Early Childhood center will focus on getting our kiddos ready for Kindergarten! We have and will continue to work on letter and number recognition, prewriting activities, social-emotional skills, and early literacy skills. Also, we have adopted 2 new curriculums, Strong Start and ABC Music & Me. Strong Start is a social emotional curriculum using a puppet named Henry and ABC Music and Me is a curriculum using songs, rhymes, stories, and activities to foster early childhood language and literacy development. Our motto at the early childhood center is Play Strong and that is exactly what we do! The following pictures will prove just that :)
