Affton Breakfast & Burger to Open in March, Owner Says
The new spot is in the old Boodles BBQ location, and next to the recently opened Affton Diner.
Affton Breakfast & Burger will serve the same burgers and omlets that The Boardwalk Café, in Webster Groves, is known for. Ismail Ilhan and his wife own them both.
He was hoping to open Breakfast & Burger on March 4, but is waiting on approval from St. Louis County. It's in the previous Boodle's BBQ location, at 10024 Gravois Road. Boodles closed last year.
His Webster Groves spot started out serving only breakfast items, then added hamburgers.

“The burgers are killer. As soon as I put in the burgers, my sales in Webster went up minimum of 30 percent,” he said.
“Eight once, fresh not frozen Angus beef on char broiler, not a flat grill. When you bite it all the juice comes out of it.”

He said they sell lots of omelets too, at The Boardwalk Café.
“This is my impression of the first time when I bring you an omelet, “Wow, how am I going to finish that?” I’m like that’s not my problem, that’s your problem.
Affton Breakfast & Burger is just west of the new Affton Diner, which will hold a ribbon cutting on March 5.
