Affton Chamber Sponsors Weekend Concerts at Jeff Barracks

Fridays feature blues. Saturdays play the oldies.

Throughout the month of June the Affton Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring two series of family-friendly weekend concerts in Jefferson Barracks Park: Blues on the Mississippi and Oldies by the River. This is the 10th year the chamber has sponsored the concerts.

Every Friday a different blues band from around the region will play. Acts include Alvin Jett Friday, Marcell Strong June 10, Patti & the Hitmen June 17 and the Soulard Blues Band June 24.

Saturdays in June feature “oldies.” Saturday is Elvis Live! With Steve Davis—one of St. Louis’s top Elvis impersonators. June 11 is Ticket to the Beatles, a St. Louis-based Beatles cover band. Sh-Boom will play nostalgic rock songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s June 18. Fabulous Motown Review will perform Motown classics June 25.
