Call for particpiants in Columbia, Missouri to break Guinness World Record

Who:           Andy’s Frozen Custard is inviting residents, friends & neighbors of the City of Columbia, students attending area schools including the University of Missouri, Columbia College and Stephens College to participate, be a part of history and break the current world record of people licking ice cream.

What:         Summer Kick Off celebration and attempt to break Guinness World Record of the longest chain of people eatting a frozen treat! Three thousand people are needed!!

Current record held by Morielli’s of Portstewart in the United Kingdom with the longest chain of 2,728 people standing side by side licking ice cream.

Andy’s Frozen Custard of Columbia, Misssouri calls for participants to break the record while *benefiting University of Missouri Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Parking will be limited.  Participants/guests are invited to walk/bike/carpool to the event. The event will take place rain or shine, dress for the weather conditions.

Contests and other events going on throughout the day including chances to win prizes including Andy’s t-shirts and free product from Andy’s Frozen Custard. All Andy’s concretes, shakes, malts, sundaes, splits and cones will be buy one get one free.

Car show from 3-6 pm, including the Mid-Missouri Corvette Club.

The regionally famous Hula Hoop group, the Hulagans, will be performing from 12-2.

Fire truck on display from the Columbia Fire Department for the majority of the day.

Saturday, April 28, 2012
