in Crestwood was the clear leader in this week's South County Food Fight, in which we asked Patch readers for their favorite restaurant to get good veggies.

Sweet Tomatoes came in with 51 percent of the votes cast in our friendly food competition. The votes were split among the four finalists.

The other finalists were River City Casino in Lemay with 36 percent;  in Fenton with 5 percent; and Shogun in Concord with 5 percent (not 100 percent because of rounding).

Voting took place from Thursday morning through Friday at 5 p.m.

Congratulations, Sweet Tomatoes, and thank you to all who participated in the Food Fight by voting in the poll and leaving comments on the site.

We look forward to hearing from you again in the next edition of Food Fight.

About this column: Each week, the South St. Louis County Patch sites (plus Arnold!) will seek the best place to get certain entrees in the area. The Food Fight will allow readers to vote on their favorite place to get a burger or a latte or a steak, etc., in the area. We will ask for submissions every Monday, will post finalists every Thursday and the champion on Saturday. Be sure to check back to vote.
