Need a Gorilla Stuffed? You Can Do That in Affton

Schwarz Studio Taxidermy has been in business since 1882. Owner Frank Wagner has worked there since he was 17, and bought the business in 2002.

In his years at the store, Wagner has worked on some unique animals: gorillas, shoulder-mounts on giraffes, bears and lions.

"Any wild animals from legally hunted species," he said.

"They all have challenges," he said. "Every animal has different anatomy and you have to try and make it match the species." He said white tail deer heads are his bread and butter.

Schwarz Studio Taxidermy is located at 8520 Gravois Road in Affton.
