New Affton Business is Welcomed to the Community

Despite blowing snow, the Affton Diner drew a crowd for its ribbon-cutting ceremony last Tuesday.

Jonathan Aka, owner of the recently opened Affton Diner, cut the ribbon on his new business last Tuesday.

Aka supplied coffee and doughnuts for crowd, who came from Affton businesses and the St. Louis County Police Department.

“Most famous is my potatoes,” he said, “But I never hear anybody say no to anything yet. I am more toward the German-style cooking, with good-quality ham and bacon.”

Waitress Tamie Hunter said the two-egg breakfast with fried potatoes and ham, bacon or sausage for $5.19 is a best-seller.
