No Timetable To Determine Red Racks' Future In Affton

The thrift shop operated by the DAV closed Thursday.

A representative of Red Racks told Patch Friday morning that the lack of foot traffic is to blame for the decision to at least temporarily close the Affton location, which closed Thursday after a little more than a year in business.

Alan Hayworth said there is no timetable yet for re-evaluating the situation. The Disabled American Veterans operate Red Racks locations in Creve Coeur and Ballwin. Hayworth said those locations may draw more customers with Affton's outlet closed and that some of the merchandise from Affton could end up in the other stores, although he added the move to close was not made specifically to drive up traffic in the other locations.
