Poll: Would You Like to See Ikea in St. Louis?

With more rumors circling about the furniture store, what are your thoughts on it?

Florissant and St. Louis residents have pined for an Ikea store to come to the area for years, and a new rumor of the store coming sparked major attention and chatter.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the store remains a rumor and could still be a few years away. According to the article, the store could go in the Hadley Township area near Interstate 40 and Hanley Road, but the developer is focused on filling up the 62 properties of the area.

So as moans and groans fill the air until official word on an Ikea store, what are your thoughts?

Why would you want an Ikea store in St. Louis, and where would you like to see it?

Ikea is one thing I miss about Chicago. It would do well here, there is no doubt about it!

Have been to IKEA in the states and in Germany and they are great. I think the perfect place would be the old Chrysler plant site in Fenton. The mayor there loves sales tax and they would bring people to Fenton from several hundred miles away. They could stay in all the hotels in Fenton and it is on a major highway.

you're all forgetting about the abandoned Northwest Plaza site. Close to the airport for shipping, ideal location.
