See how your favorite restaurants fared on St. Louis County Department of Health inspections.

Patch examined inspection reports in Mehlville, Oakville and Affton in July and August. Information has been compiled using publicly available data published to the website of the St. Louis County Health Department

Restaurants are rated on a scale of A to C, with A being the best. Inspectors also give a score indicating the percentage of compliance with inspection standards. 

The health department inspects restaurants on a routine basis unless otherwise noted.

Comments: Salmon, which was thawing in a bowl of water, needs to thaw under running water, in refrigeration, in microwave, or during cooking process.

Comments: Wiping cloths on counter need to be stored in sanitizer. Debris accumulation found on equipment and floors under equipment.

St. Louis Bread Co., 5696 Telegraph Rd.
Inspection date: Aug. 20
Grade: A (91)
Comments: Prep table not maintaining temperature of 41 degrees. Missing thermometers in Panini and cream refrigerators. Wiping cloths must be stored in sanitizer. Remove old date labels from food containers. Debris found on walk-in floors.

Inspection date: Aug. 21
Grade: A (96)
Comments: Toxic material (pest killer) was being stored above the ice machine, according to the report.  Cracks were noted on the lids of the ice maker and freezer. The establishment was asked to replace the lids. 

Gingham’s Homestyle Restaurant, 7333 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Inspection date: Aug. 21
Grade: A (99)
Comments: The kitchen’s walk-in freezer had a broken gasket, which caused ice accumulation and some dust accumulation on the vent hoods. The establishment was asked to repair the freezer and clean the hoods.

Comments: No comments 

Krispy Kreme, 6935 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Inspection date: Aug. 21

Comments: The establishment was asked to replace damaged floor tiles in the kitchen.
