Comments: A customer filed a complaint with the Health Department that Dole lettuce mix had an odor when opened. The inspector did not find any spoiled products or bags past their expiration date during the inspection. The store did not receive any other complaints or recalls, according to the report.

Subway, 4251 Bayless Ave.
Inspection date: March 26
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Water in the building was turned off for approximately one hour. A manager told the Health Department that temporary food and hand washing stations were set up before the water was shut off. All sinks were functional. 

Jack in the Box, 5905 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Inspection date: March 6
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Three customers who visited the restaurant on April 4 told the Health Department they got sick after consuming Hot Mess burgers. The restaurant had 370 customers that day, but no other complaints, according to the report. An inspectr did not find any temperature violations, sick employees, or food contact violations.

Klas Market, 9440 Gravois Rd.
Inspection date: March 6
Grade: A (100)
Comments: An inspector visited the establishment following a complaint about expired candy. The manager told the Health Department that the item was immediately pulled off the shelves and sent back to the supplier, who dated the candy. The manager supplied an invoice showing purchase in February 2013, though individual wrappers were dates January 2012, according to the report. 

Affton Breakfast & Burger, 10024 Gravois Rd.
Inspection date: March 18
Grade: A (99)
Comments: This was an opening inspection. An inspector noted some fan covers had visible signs of dust and debris, which was to be cleaned by the end of the day. No follow-up was scheduled. 

Steak 'n Shake, 5828 S. Lindbergh Blvd.
Inspection date: March 18 (follow-up)
Grade: A (100)
Comments: Hepatitis A records were not provided for four employees. Those employees cannot report to work until records are provided, according to the report.
