Stork Lady Children’s Consignment Sale Starts Thursday

Find children's clothing, accessories, toys, and other kids' gear July 25-27.

Consignment shops are a great way to refresh your child's wardrobe without breaking the bank (especially for back to school season), and to rid your home of clothing outgrown. The Stork Lady allows residents around South County to stock up on children's clothing, toys, books and games, as well as strollers and other parenting necessities.

The sale opens to the public on Thursday, July 25. Stop in 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on Thursday or Friday, or 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday. (Most items will be 50 percent off on Saturday.)

The Stork Lady spent some time in Crestwood Plaza's ArtSpace. Now sales are hosted in Shrewsbury out of a storefront at 125 Kenrick Plz.

Consigners are required to price and inventory their own merchandise, so some sellers could have spent a few hours organizing their haul before transporting it to the store. The Stork Lady's Facebook page shows off some of the store's extremely organized fixtures.

Check out some shopper FAQ's before you head to the sale. One tip: come with a reusable bag or something to transport your purchases! Bags are often provided for early birds!

There are several benefits to participating in the sale. Sellers not only free up closet, garage, or attic space, but they can spare themselves the headache of organizing a neighborhood sale.

Volunteers and consigners also receive access to exclusive pre-sales. (First-time parents can reserve tickets to attend a special pre-sale, too.)
Buyers can look forward to perusing clothing items as low as $2, all in one place.
