Katie's Pizza & Pasta Osteria to Add a Pergola and Garden to Its Patio

ST. LOUIS – Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria, an Italian restaurant that serves the Greater St. Louis region, will soon be adding a pergola and large vegetable garden to its patio.

Construction of the pergola will begin next week. Once completed, it will cover long communal tables separated by large planters containing herbs. The planters will provide both privacy and ingredients for the restaurant’s dishes.

The pergola will also feature a living green wall, much like the two located inside the restaurant.

Katie’s Pizza & Pasta Osteria plans on planting heirloom tomatoes, kale, Swiss chard, watermelon, herbs, zucchini squash (for their squash blossom pizza), flowers and possibly corn.
