It's a Small World...

It pays to be nice because you never know who you will run into.

A short time ago my husband and I were on a little run away weekend.  We went to the beautiful Branson, MO area.  We had no preplanned agenda and stayed at a Best Western on the strip.  Nothing fancy we just needed to get away from the real world and spend some time together.  We arrived very late on Thursday night and quickly crashed for the night.

The hotel had complimentary hot brekfast for the guest.  Once again not fancy but was great to get you started in the morning.

We decided to take advantage of this breakfast on Friday, Saturday as well as on Sunday.  The first 2 days we went to the breakfast center on the earlier side of the morning.  On Sunday we decided to sleep later and we arrived at the breakfast center closer to the end of the breakfast service.

We walked in and the room was packed with no place to sit.  My husband and I got some coffee and then we noticed a family just about to leave so we proceeded to grab their table.  My husband noticed another man and woman looking for a table as well so we offered to share our table with them. As the woman approached our table she stopped in her tracks and stared at me.  It was more than a stare!  I felt as if I must have done something wrong.  The look on her face was very puzzeling.  I even check my shirt to be sure that it was not unbuttoned or that I had somthing all over it.

After she stood there for what seemed like forever she said you went to Cleveland High School.  Your Dan and Cindy!  I was in shock.  Who was this person?  Now she began to look familier.  I asked her name and she told me it was Cindi.  She introduced her husband and we began to talk.

Cindi was one of the girls I hung with in high school although after high school we lost touch with each other.  We sat for a bit and reminenced high school memories.

Well, it was Sunday and we all had to head back to the real world so we once again parted ways.  It was great to see her and to remember some of our high school days.

You never know who you will run into and where.  I am so glad we were trying to be nice to someone that needed a table.  It's a small world.
