Green Park Lutheran School Donates Cans to Feed My People.
Green Park Lutheran School on Green Park Road and Union Road recently collected food for Feed My People.
The Faith Families at Green Park Lutheran School meets once a month. A Faith Family is a group of students of mixed ages with an 8th grader as the leader and a 7th grader as the assistant leader. These groups are guided by a staff member at Green Park.
Each month these families gather for devotions and talk about things like respect, self control or other character traits. The families will chose a charity to donate to. This month they chose Feed My People. Any offerings and can goods collected will be given to them.
Before the can goods that were collected were donated to Feed My People the Faith Families had a contest to see who could build the best can castle. The castles were judged by Mrs. Fund. Although it was tough to decide there was a winner. The winning group was supervised by Mr. Spieler, the schools principal.

My childern attended Green Park Lutheran School, and I must say that having my children in the Lutheran School system made my job as a parent much easier. I do believe that they are now successfull adults due in part to the fact that they were brought up in an atmosphere teaching religion and how to have wonderful character traits.
