Grant Historic Site Hosts “A Night Walk Into the Past”

Performances this weekend focus on St. Louis at the start of the Civil War

Come to the this coming weekend for the popular outdoor living history performance: “A Night Walk Into the Past.”

This year’s Night Walk is titled “1861: Prelude to War.” The performance brings to life historic figures and teaches visitors about the challenges and issues facing St. Louisans during the first years of the Civil War.

There will be one performance at 7 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. The program is not recommended for children under 5.

Tickets are free, but space is limited and reservations are required. Call the visitor center at 314-842-1867, extension 230. Seating is first-come, first-served.

The Night Walk is one of many educational activities and programs put on by the National Park Service at White Haven. The park is open for regular visitation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
