Know Your Parks: Clydesdale
This summer, "Patch" is bringing you the great outdoors with a closer look at the parks of South County.
Located atΒ 9801 Green Park Rd. in Green Park, Clydesdale Park has something for everyone. Originally named Gravois Creek Park, Clydesdale opened in 1976 and was later renamed after the famous Busch family horses.
Clydesdale Park rests on 117 acres of both forest and creek floodplain basin. It has large fields to play in and a baseball diamond where several Affton teams practice on each week.
The park also features seven different walking trails, including the Fox Run Fitness Trail, which has stations with steel exercise equipment and Bottomland Trail, which takes walkers down along a creek through a floodplain habitat.
