Lemay Wok in Mehlville Takes Top Spot for Chinese Takeout

None of the Chinese carry-out places could serve up a majority of the vote. Sesame Chinese in Sunset Hills was the No. 2 vote-getter.

in Mehlville is the winner in this week's South County Food Fight, in which we asked Patch readers for their favorite restaurant for Chinese takeout.

But this week's competition shows that there's no runaway favorite. Lemay Wok captured the largest share of the votes at 27 percent, but far from a majority among the finalists in our friendly food competition. The next biggest vote-getter was  in Sunset Hills with 17 percent. Here's how the votes were split (may not equal 100 percent due to rounding).

  • , Shrewsbury, 6 percent.
  • , Affton, 6 percent.
  • Hunan Yu, Sappington, 13 percent.
  • , Fenton, 5 percent.
  • Li Yuan, Sappington, 5 percent.
  • , Affton, 1 percent.
  • , Affton, 6 percent.
  • , Fenton, 8 percent.

Voting took place from Thursday morning through Friday at 5 p.m.
