Creating Allies in Safety training

Woman’s Place is proud to announce that it will once again

be offering it’s free domestic violence training “Creating Allies in

Safety” on Thursday January 16, 10am-3pm at our office in Affton.  Anyone

who occasionally interacts with domestic violence survivors  in their

professional or private lives is encouraged to attend. Participants will be

given new models for understanding domestic abuse, information for recognizing

signs of potentially lethal escalation and hands-on, practical “do’s and

don’ts” for talking with victims including tips for effective safety planning
.

If you only go to one domestic violence training in your career, make it this

one. Past participants have included law enforcement, social workers,

counselors, teachers, medical professionals, attorneys, HR professionals,

volunteers, interns and students. Space is limited and this always fills up

fast, so call early to reserve your space
