A Conversation with Abraham Lincoln

ST. LOUIS, MO – Have you wondered what President Abraham Lincoln was thinking as the country entered the third year of the Civil War? Here is a chance for you and your family to find out.  Lincoln re-enactor Fritz Klein will portray Abraham Lincoln at 1 p.m. on February 23, 2013 at Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site.

Come experience the words and thoughts of Abraham Lincoln brought to life in this program called “Lincoln Comes to White Haven”.  In a fictional visit to St Louis, Lincoln will ponder General Ulysses S. Grant and the future of the war-torn country in February 1963. Kids and adults alike will have the opportunity to ask President Lincoln questions.  In addition, Fritz Klein will also step out of character at the end of the program to take questions about what it is like to portray one of the United States most famous presidents.

Fritz Klein has been portraying Abraham Lincoln since 1976.  Since then he has traveled to some 35 states to appear on film and television, on stage and as a motivational speaker.  He currently resides in Springfield Illinois.
