Special Olympics Fundraiser

St. Louis County Police continues to lead Missouri law enforcement agencies in money raised and officer participation for Special Olympics events.

A fundraising event will be held at the Texas Roadhouse at 1220 South Kirkwood Road at 4:00pm on Tuesday, March 29th.

It is important for the customers to know their donation will go toward providing athletes with continued opportunities to compete year-round in sporting events.  A Special Olympics marked envelope will be placed on each customers table giving them the opportunity to make a donation at their convenience.

There will be coloring books for children and T-Shirt giveaways.  The radio station, 93.7 The Bull, will also be there.

A Special Olympic Athlete may be present at this event and a uniformed officer will be at the front entrance to greet customers.  Also, near the front entrance an officer will be collecting donation envelopes and conducting Torch Run t-shirt sales.

Texas Roadhouse has been working diligently on publicity for this event and over $2,000 was raised last year.  This event is meant to be fun and we are there to have a great time for a great cause.  The staff at Texas Roadhouse looks forward to working alongside the police department each year.  The event usually lasts until 9:00pm.
