Spine & Joint Center of Affton Holds Food Drive
Spine & Joint Center of Affton holds month-long food drive to help feed those in need in the Affton community.
Dr. Danielle Spath, of the Spine & Joint Center of Affton, held a food drive to benefit the Affton Christian Food Pantry at her Mackenzie Road office during the month of January. In that time, she helped raise awareness of food insecurity, which is a growing problem in the Affton community.
Dr. Spath kicked off her food drive on January 6 with a "Health JumpStart 2013" program. With this, she brought together various health and fitness professionals in the community in a one-stop shop. Donations to the ACFP were accepted, with each donation earning a raffle ticket to win some great prizes!
Throughout the rest of the month, Dr. Spath encouraged her patients to remember those in need in our community. She set aside space in the front of her offices to bring the most attention possible to the food drive, and the Affton Christian Food Pantry.
