Back to Football Friday Was a HUGE Success!

The Rogers Middle School event promoted fitness and exercise.

Back to Football Friday was a HUGE success at Rogers Middle School!!! As part of Fuel Up to Play 60, Back to Football Friday was a great way to kick off our 2011-12 commitment to exercise and eating healthy. At Rogers (Affton's) Middle School—RAMS—students and teachers alike dressed in their St. Louis Rams gear and cheered on our hometown team.  Students and teachers were divided into teams and played games and competed to win the Superbowl. They competed by playing football trivia, had a "fitness drill", a football toss, and won points for the Superbowl. Students had to find the hidden football at lunch to win more points for their team. Not surprisingly the "Believers," cheered on by Ms. Kedro, won by three points. Math teacher, Karen Smith incorporated football into her math lesson by explaining the different ways a team can score and having them play a game similar to Scatergories. Coach Ford brought made his own Steven Jackson for our photo shoot. At the end of the day we took a RAMS photo with all of Rogers Middle School participating. Thank you to all who helped make Back to Football Friday a huge success and lots of fun. Go Rams!!!!!!
