Friday

Preschool Movie: The Little Mermaid (1989) at St. Louis County Library - Jamestown Bluffs Branch. Join us to watch the story of a beautiful mermaid who dreams of becoming human. MPAA rating: G. Running time: 85 min. Free movie!

Just Mom and Me at American Girl - St. Louis. It’s time for mother-daughter day! You’ll enjoy a special meal, make a paper family tree, and even sign a "mother-daughter promise" to keep creating memories. Includes a keepsake photo and frame, plus an American Girl book to take home.

Saturday

Maple Sugar Festival at Rockwoods Reservation. The Maple Sugar Festival at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Rockwoods Reservation offers visitors the chance to discover nature at its most delicious. Free family fun!

Orchid Show opens at Missouri Botanical Garden. A once-a-year opportunity to see 800 exotic, fragrant winter-blooming orchids displayed among tropical plants. A welcome mid-winter break! Exhibit runs through March 23.

Dino Dinners at Saint Louis Science Center. Dino Dinners, an exciting new program, offers visitors a chance to dive deeper into dinosaur diets and make a cast of a real dinosaur tooth on the 1st Saturday of every month! The program is fun for kids, families and adults.

FAC's Children's Book Club at Foundry Art Centre. Let your Imagination soar!

Backhandspring Clinic at St. Louis Spirits Gymnastics Club. Interested in Cheerleading? Come and work on your tumbling.

Family Film Days - Cinderella at Missouri History Museum. Bring your family to the Museum for a FREE afternoon movie. Light snacks will be offered. Kids can enter to win a prize basket provided by Radio Disney. Today's feature: Cinderella!

Milk & Cookies Story Morning  at St. Charles City-County Library - Corporate Parkway Branch. Start your weekend with an interactive story time full of fun books, songs, and rhymes. Afterward we'll enjoy milk and cookies before opening the room to free play. Stay to play with the library's fun toys! Free event!

Art @ Your Library: The Parrot Pirate King at St. Louis County Library - Florissant Valley Branch. Dastardly Gene and Gentle Henry need the audience's help in trivia, games and fun. Recommended for ages 2-12. Free library event!

2014 Summer Opportunities Fair at MICDS-Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School. It is open to the public and admission is FREE! 10:00am to 3:00pm

Raptor Saturdays at Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau . See a raptor, up close and personal. TreeHouse Wildlife Center will be at the Center with a rehabilitated raptor. It could be an owl, hawk or falcon. Stop by the Center to see who shows up. For more information, call (636) 899-0090. Free!

Owl Prowl at World Bird Sanctuary. Learn more about the amazing life of Owls! A WBS naturalist will introduce you to live owls and their unique calls. Then, take an easy night hike through our grounds to try and call in a wild owl.


 

Monday

Open Gym - Come play with us!  at Miss Kelly's - The Gym For Kids . Open Gym is an opportunity for your child to have supervised free play in our gym. They can work on existing skills, try something new, or simply play around. It is completely up to them!

Bald Eagle Days at Pere Marquette at Alton Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau . The Eagle has landed! Grab your family and come see our national bird, the bald eagle, in treetops along the river and learn more about this magnificent creature. Free, family-friendly event!


 

Tuesday

Children’s Storytime at Kirkwood Public LIbrary. Storytime - Join us for stories, songs, games & crafts. Questions? Call 314-821-5770, ext. 1015. Event is free and open to the public. Tuesday and Wednesday mornings.

Butterfly House Free Admission Morning for STL City/County Residents  at The Butterfly House. St. Louis City/County residents enjoy free admission on the first Tuesday of every month from 9 -11 a.m. Proof of residency is required.


 

Wednesday

Symphony in the City at St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. We are throwing open the doors of Powell Hall and invite our audience to sit on stage and interact with musicians to enjoy a casual and unique evening of chamber music. These concerts are absolutely free - no tickets or reservations are required!

Stroller Tour (birth-24mos) & Morning Play Date (2-5yrs) at Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. Meet at CAM the first Wednesday of each month for exciting artist-led activities, storytelling, toddler yoga, music workshops, and more.
