Summer in the City-Destiny style

After two relaxing days of summer and a raining weekend, Summer school starts at Affton High School. My little Destiny who volunteers to go every summer was eager to get started this past Monday.  Destiny loves school and her grades reflect her curiosity for everything.

Her main interest for the past 5 years has been the Marines, the Navy, Coast Guard and the Army. She sees herself going to the service after high school and letting them pay for college. Her summer this year will help her get to her goals in the service. Someone, not sure who, told her that she needed exellant grades to get in the service. So summer at our house is all about training.

She collect brochures from every branch of the service and scours the newspapers for any activity that might include soilders. Her summer includes push ups and exercise.  She wants to learn how to shoot a gun from her Uncle Mike and reassures me that she will protect our freedom.

I am proud that she has strong goals. Her first year of high school starts in August, look out Affton High Schoo, here she comes!
