Affton Apartment Dweller Takes Action After Break-ins

The man is photographing parked cars.

The apartments at the corner of Gravois and Valcour avenues have had multiple car break-ins according to one resident, and he's doing something about it.

The resident, who declined to be identified or answer questions, walked across Gravois and asked to photograph a car, with the driver inside, that was parked at the entrance to Sunset Memorial Park.  The man said there had been break-ins at the apartments, and he suspected thieves of parking there to scope out possible victims.

St. Louis County Affton Precinct Police Officer David Sebek said a car hasn't been broken into at the apartments for more than two years.

Note: The car was the Patch editor's car, and he was parked there to photograph an accident at Gravois and Valcour avenues.
