Affton Holds Fundraisers for Christopher Marks Memorial Fund

You can still buy a t-shirt as a way to donate to the fund for the Rogers Middle Schooler who died last week.

Affton community members—especially children—are finding creative ways to raise money for the , set up to help the family of the last week.

Residents have raised money through t-shirt sales, a lemonade stand and a car wash.

To see pictures of the car wash, check out the Affton-Shrewsbury Patch Facebook page.

T-shirts are still for sale by emailing shirts4chris@yahoo.com. Shirts are $15 and the proceeds go to the memorial fund.

Four boys—including Max Roberts, Jared Robers and Devon Barshow—helped organize a lemonade stand that raised more than $1000 in three days. The boys set up on Cloverhurst Drive off of Mackenzie Road with the goal of raising $600 over three days. They ended up raising close to $1,400.

And students holding a car wash fundraiser in the Affton School District parking lot earned $760 Saturday.

If you hear about more fundraisers, let us know by sending an email to Lindsay.Toler@patch.com or posting to the Facebook page.
