Affton Police Blotter: Drunk Driver Kills Woman

The following information was supplied by the Affton Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Friday, Mar. 9

Cash and jewelry were reported stolen in the 9900 block of Bunker Hill Road in Concord. Police say the goods were taken from the residence by an acquaintance. The investigation is ongoing.

Cash, credit cards and a driver’s license were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4000 block of Weber Road in Affton.

A woman from Concord, Edna “Sue” Binder was killed in a fatal car crash with another vehicle on Lindbergh Boulevard at E. Concord Road. Elvedin Halkic of Mehlville drove the other car and was charged with manslaughter. Police say he was intoxicated.

Cash, credit cards and prescription medication was reported stolen from a vehicle in the 9000 block of Consul Avenue in Affton by the victim’s boyfriend.

Wednesday, Mar. 14

$60 cash and a GPS were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 9800 block of Tiffany Square Parkway in Affton. The crime was originally a felony but was reclassified to misdemeanor.

Cash and electronics were reported stolen in a burglary in the 5100 block of Butler Hill Road in Concord.

A burglary was reported in the 7800 block of Olde English Road in Affton but nothing was taken.

Electronics were reported stolen in the 8500 block of Mathilda Avenue in Affton.
